In just 4 years, our program has grown to more than 800 active volunteers who have completed more than 94,000 hours of service benefiting natural resource education, citizen science, and stewardship in the Commonwealth. Their service is valued at more than $1.9 million (see Independent Sector report on the value of volunteer time).
Take a moment to read about the wonderful accomplishments of our volunteers in our 2009 annual report and newsletter, now available on the Web!

Michelle, this is really fantastic! I just read through your annual report and was amazed to see how much time and energy your organization devotes to citizen science.
ReplyDeleteI'm writing as a team member on the recently-launched Science for Citizens (http://scienceforcitizens.net), a website that brings together the millions of
citizen scientists around the world and thousands of projects offered
by various research organizations.
We're loading our database with tons of new, exciting citizen science projects, and we'd love it if you and your organization would take a look at our beta website.
I think there could be some great opportunities to find new citizen science projects.
The site can be found at http://scienceforcitizens.net.
Let us know what you think!
