Happy Earth Day!

Happy Earth Day! Isn't it great to have a day dedicated to inspiring appreciation for our planet's environment? If only it were a work holiday, too, so that more people could have the time to get outside. That's my number 1 suggestion for what to do on Earth Day--go outdoors! Hike, garden, picnic, go birdwatching or fishing...whatever it takes to spend some enjoyable time outside.
Of course, many of our Virginia Master Naturalist chapters are busy with Earth Day festivals this week. Thank you for all the educating you do at these events!
